Finance Manager

As Finance Manager, you will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and provide meaningful commercial insights. Very much a 'Hands-On" role, you will play a key part in business decisions and strategy, working closely with senior leaders and guiding a talented finance team.
 
What You'll Do
  • Deliver monthly/annual accounts and insightful reports.
  • Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis.
  • Lead and develop a small team—mentoring and fostering collaboration.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with NZ IFRS, tax, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and the adoption of modern systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support decision-making and business growth.
To qualify you will bring:
  • Preferably be a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ or equivalent) with 4+ years' post-qualification experience.
  • Track record in finance team management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Confidence communicating financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with Xero, having exposure to Project Works would be a bonus!!
  • Commercial thinker with initiative, independence, and motivation.
